Don’t risk the health and safety of your family or property by using an unlicensed plumber. You wouldn’t go to a doctor without a medical license or an attorney without a license to practice law, so why would you risk health issues and property damage by using an unlicensed plumber? Georgia law requires the person PERFORMING THE PLUMBING WORK in your home or business to have a valid journeyman’s or master plumbing license. NOT just the business owner. As the customer, you have an absolute right to ask the person performing the work to show you his license. If they won’t, then they don’t have one!

O.C.G.A. § 43-14-8(b)
“(1) No person shall engage in the business of plumbing as a master plumber unless such person has a valid license from the division.
(2) No person shall engage in the business of plumbing as a journeyman plumber unless such person has a valid license from the division.”
